Passion.: So Where's THE Party?

So I know I've been turning down a number (countless) of parties of late, till my friends get the shock of their lives when I actually turn up at one. But to be frank, sometimes you just can't completely run away from what was once a part of your life. :p

Carlsberg to be exact.

Carlsberg has been through with me during my FHM days and when they first started out the secret party series I was estatic! Sadly though, I bailed the June one last minute and completely missed out everything!

This time round they raised the bar and held a party for over 2000 partygoers!

And I made sure I set my schedule for this one and thankfully I got to bring a date along.

As usual, none of us were told of the secret location. We were only told to wear 'stylish yet comfortable' and to meet up at the Shah Alam Stadium, which we then boarded a bus to our secret location which was "an hour away". (Note the quote and unquote)

Of course our bus went round and round for an hour and it started getting suspicious when we realized we were rounding Shah Alam and then drove to Klang and took a U-turn. Our bus even went around the round about twice just to delay time!

And when I checked twitter, I knew exactly where we were going.

This facility was where Carlsberg was first brewed in Malaysia in 1972 and like Soren said 'what better way to end the year than at our very own homeground'.

I agree!

While at the press conference, we were introduced to all the artist that was gonna perform that day. From superstar locals like Shawn Lee to UK girl band like High on Heels. Carlsberg had it all covered! Even for K-pop fans!

The ultimate playground for Carlsberg fans and beer lovers around is at the brewery itself, where free flow of freshly brewed beer was served (obviously!). The factory grounds was turned into an amusement park filled with rides like the ferris wheel, pirate ship and adult carousel.

Of course booths were around for other games and free food too!

The pirate ship was one of the best rides I'd have to say!

This is the Skyride where partygoers get to experience the exhilirating ride of being buoyed by a hot air balloon.

The line was so long so I didn't have the patience to wait.

Of course all the games will score you points. It's not for nothing. We were given RFID tags at each game booth to earn certain number of points which can be accumulated and redeemed at the exit.

I was too excited playing the game till I forgot to tap to collect points! Ugh!

Carlsberg really thought it through when they organized this.

They brought in the heaven of all partygoers!

Tracks like Levels were played and it's the ORIGINAL version! Not some Florida or Adele remix thank gawd! That would have ruined it.

The almost 12 hour party ended with the most awesome Lok Lok ever and i'm not kidding.

I'm seriously not a fan of overpriced sticks of meat but since all came free for us I was so jakun to have some.

And that was the best decision of my life.

The marinated beef freshly deep-fried and THEN grilled. Yumms!

In line with Carlsberg philosophy of responsible drinking, we were time and time again reminded not to go overboard. No one likes to wake up smelling of throw up. We were all only allowed 4 cups of beer before 8pm to ensure we actually enjoy the night and what's installed for us. Of course after that it was free flow all the way like no tomorrow!

They even have an Alcohol Testing Zone to have their alcohol levels tested while partying, and even arrange cabs for those who are too drunk to drive. Talk about being spoiled! :p

Of course my date doesn't drink which saved us the trouble of being caught to get a cab.

It was definitely a great end to the year and a great way to say thank you to us beer-drinkers, with a night of free entertainment, food and drinks! Great to have caught up with the girls from MHB and the rest of the kakis. Truly glad I didn't miss it this round.
