So I'm sick and I'm stuck in library as I need to finish up some filming work for the video production but my cast ain't here yet.

Might as well blog about that one time I went to this very quaint cozy restaurant with a suggestive name:
69 Bistro
I didn't really expect much as I don't normally travel around Damansara Perdana but boy, they had tons of cozy looking bars and restaurants.
This particular one has really unique decor. It's like a little teahouse, mini disneyland. Every corner/ table is a different atmosphere and furniture.
Food here is equally as interesting.
They specialize in fusion food, so you can find things like Chicken Chop, Fried Rice, Salad, and such.
Golden Crispy (chicken) RM 8.50
Technically deep-friend chicken meat balls with wonton skin-like batter.
This is one of the dishes we personally ordered, cause it looks really good on the menu.
It is, we just had trouble eating it cause the fried bits get pretty messy.
If you don't mind dealing with the mess, it's definitely worth a try.
A mix of crunchy fried skin on the outside and juicy chicken meat on the inside.
Deep-fried 'tou foo pok' RM8.30
This is a vegetarian's must dish!
Being a meat-lover, I didn't fancy this as much as the rest, but it got me liking it at least.
Probably because of the crispy tou foo skin, which looks like pie tee but with thicker 'cups' and creamier filling.
Owh yeah, i'm doing work while at work.
Haha!
And I needed a little bit of Jaz Fresh to get me going.
Still, the little keg is uber cute!
My beer was chilled to 3 degrees celcius, which is just perfect with its cloudy and golden colour. The medium bodied beer has this fragrant aroma an balanced aroma, inspired by the German styles of brewing tradition.
The natural-gentle carbonisation complements the hops aroma with a pleasent bitterness that we all like in our beers.
So if you're into German beer
And I think it's awesome that Jaz Fresh contains no additives and preservatives.
It is strictly unfiltered and unpastuerised, keeping it 'alive' with the notable amount of live yeast that allows the beer to still contain the natural vitamin B and other nutriens like chromium.
Tropical Twist milkshake
This is like liquified SUGUS!
It's milky and sweet, one for the sweet tooth.
And seriously, remember SUGUS?
Pan-fried meehon
One of their signature dishes.
It's kind of like cantanose fried kuey teow, except it's prepared with vermicilli.
I love how the vermicilli is cripy, but turns soft when it's soaked in the gravy.
It gives a variety of taste and texture in the mouth. It's a typical asian dish, but typical asian people like me.
Ayam Penyet with steamed rice, tempe and tou fu RM 12.90
This incredibly spicy dish has got to be my favourite.
Being the sorta person that has to have chilli on just about anything i eat, it's no wonder.
It hard for me to find really spicy food that actually makes me sweat so this hits the spot!
Though the chicken is a little bit on the dry side, the spicy sambal compensated for it, and of course the fluffy well-steamed rice.
Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce RM 13.90
Comfort food
Spicy Honey Chicken Rice RM 11.50
The rice is fluffy and I think they used fragrant rice as the taste/smell seems different.
I can't tell. After all, our taste buds are affected by scents we smell.
The gravy is savoury sweet with juicy bits of chicken.
If you want an asian flavour.
It was St. Patricks Day but we wore black.
Can't believe I missed out this year though.
Drinks to compliment our dishes.
One interesting thing about 69 bistro is the fact that they have Tarot card reading.
No kidding!
For just a little twist to the cafe.
Me, being skeptical and all that (and maybe kind of a coward), I passed.
But Nicole was brave!
