Eucerin has found the key for a deeply hydrated skin.
Apparently it's not how much 'water' you put on your skin but rather how your skin distributes it all over.
Interesting huh?
Warning: you just might get sick of my face by the end of this post. don't say i didn't warn ya.
To put in short, the Nobel Prize- winning discovery found that natural water channels, called the aquaporin, regulate the transport of water molecules within the skin.
Eucerin's new range of Eucerin AQUAporin Active uses this new found discovery by having its moisturizer 'activate' these channels so that your skin is hydrated at all times! Eucerin even claim that in their study of 750 subjects, within the first 24 hour after the first treatment, 90% stated that the product range instantly supplied their skin with moisture. And even after 3 days of stopping regular use, 94% confirmed that their skin was still thoroughly moisturized.
Here's their new range of products:
- Eucerin AQUAporin ACTIVE SPF 15+ UVA - normal skin
- Eucerin AQUAporin ACTIVE Light - normal to combination skin
- Eucerin AQUAporin ACTIVE Eye - for the delicate eye area
So first i tested out the Light one, since i have combination skin (oily T-zone, dry cheeks)
I squeezed out a smaller-than-pea-size amount of the moisturizer.
squeeze/pump containers are way more hygenic btw, unlike jar ones.
It definitely had a lot of moisture for some reason, the texture kinda turns into 'water' after you put it on your skin.
It's non-greasy and only use a little for the entire face.
It kinda 'melts' into your skin.
I do have to say, it is very moisturizing, especially for normal to dry skin.
Important tip: make sure you cleanse and tone, before you moisturize for better absorption of the product.
You guys should know this already!
The Eucerin AQUAporin ACTIVE SPF 15 has a thicker texture, so i do not recommend it for oily skin as it may get abit sticky with greasy skin like mine. The Light one is still okay, perfect for my cheeks, without it getting oily later on. However, if you have super oily skin, make sure you tone first, to remove oil, as the product is quite hydrating.
It does live up to being very hydrating.
My favourite product however, is the Eucerin AQUAporin EYE, as i use a lot of eye make up (as you obviously know), so it helps to moisturized my tensed and stressed eye area.
One more thing, it's suitable for sensitive skin too.
:)
If i'm not mistaken, the range is now selling around RM50+ each in Watsons now.
P/S: As you can see, i kinda have open pores problem, so if anyone can kindly send me products to try, please and thank you.
kisses.
