The whole trip down south was totally last minute, which resulted in my panicking. I had my assignments grades at stake, but i wasn't going to miss out the first Freedom event for this year for more reasons that one ;)
Featuring Karpe DM and Darkraverz, the crowd was totally hyped up.
I've never been to JB honestly, never down south. But thanks to Nigel's car, we managed to reach JB in 3 hours which i thank because i will start getting car sick when it's more than 4 hours without stopping. We made our way to Mutiara Hotel, our stay sponsored by the organizing team.
It was a totally smart move to party when i have a research paper due.
We were so freakin hungry Jamie and I resorted to eating the complimentary fruit plate ~__~

On the way to dinner, which took us an hour to find the place.
But it's okay, we managed to buy Duty Free Chocolates while being lost.

We ate at this place with tons of seafood choices and things like kuey teow.
Weirdly enough, it's not a coffee shop. I have no idea what it is O.o

My mad love for fried oysters: the worst possible thing you can eat before slipping into a tight dress.
But, oh well.
We went back to the hotel, got ready and WALKED to Discovery.
Cause it's just next door. Teehee.
We dress totally out of place. The club has more of a KTV/Disco/Ah Beng place but it's supposedly the most happening club in JB. It's super colourful with weird interior and lights with a few rooms in the club.
I was pre-warned so it wasn't that bad, but we stood out like a sore thumb, we were so obviously KL people.
I'm a city girl and i love it.

We went really early kay. So only around 12.30 am people started dancing when Nigel already went shaking his head long ago.

Jamie got really sleepy. We went to JB right after she was done with college, poor thing.
Worse than me, she had 9 assignments due the week after!
9!!!
So Nigel teman-ed her to the hotel while i stayed on, drank more and totally lost myself.
We went roaming around the place. There were more fengtau music in the next room. And for some reason, people singing.
O.o
Left the club at about 2.30 and had a really interesting walk back.
I got too tired and tipsy i eventually spent an hour sitting at the steps and just doing nothing.
We were so freaking near to Singapore, i wanna go down again!
The next day, we explored the malls while Jamie and Nigel went to hunt for Otak- otak (again lol)
Reached home in 2 and a half hours and totally crashed on my bed.
Thanks to the organizers for the fully paid trip.
Kinda makes me miss the time at Penang with the girls.
I can't wait for Above & freakin Beyond!
